Part 1: Thorough Cleaning (The Foundation of All Care)
Step 1: Prepare the Solution
Select a clean container (such as a washbasin or bathtub) and fill it with lukewarm water (just enough to comfortably hold your hands, never too hot). Add a specialized latex cleaner or mild dishwashing liquid, carefully following the instructions.
Step 2: Gentle Rinse
Turn the latex garment inside out and completely immerse it in the water. Gently scrub each area, especially areas prone to sweating, such as the underarms and back. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Excessive foaming indicates an overabundance of detergent and requires re-rinsing with clean water.
Step 3: Thorough Rinse
Discard any remaining water and rinse the garment repeatedly with plenty of running water, inside and out, until no greasy feeling remains. Ensure all detergent residue is removed.
Step 4: Dry Properly [Key Correction]
Do not hang the garment to dry! The weight of the water can cause irreversible stretching and deformation. The correct method is:
Gently pat the surface with a dry towel or paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.
Lay the latex garment flat on a dry towel in a cool, well-ventilated area.
Turn it over regularly to ensure it is completely dry, both inside and out.
Part 2: Polishing (Restoring and Maintaining Gloss)
Prerequisite: Ensure the latex garment is thoroughly clean and completely dry. Otherwise, the polish won't be absorbed effectively, resulting in a greasy surface.
Method: Immersion Polishing (Recommended)
Add a small amount of a specialized silicone-based polish (such as Vivishine) to clean water.
Immerse the dry latex garment in the water and gently shake it to evenly coat the surface with the polish.
After removing the garment, hang it directly on a wide hanger (to avoid any marks) and let it air dry in the shade. This method will create an even, shiny protective film on the surface.
Part 3: Donning Aids (Easy Donning)
Before donning, spray the inside of the latex garment with a specialized skin-wearing lotion or apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant. This will significantly reduce friction, making donning smoother and also maintaining the garment.
Part 4: Long-Term Storage (Preventing Adhesion and Oxidation)
Method: Powdering (Most Reliable)
Ensure the latex suit is 100% clean and dry.
Sprinkle medical-grade talcum powder or cornstarch evenly over the inside and outside of the suit.
Lay the suit flat or roll it loosely, using acid-free tissue paper (such as butter paper) to separate the folds and wrap all metal parts to prevent discoloration.
Store in a black plastic bag or sealed storage bag in a cool, dry place away from light.
